Default Trouble Code after headers... what does this mean?

P1133 - HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1

There's really two things I can think of, but only one really makes total sense.

1) My oil level sensor is broken, there are two wires that go into it, one is just ripped so I have a low oil light, but it drove around fine with no SES light for a day. Now the SES light shows up.

2) Second scenario is the 02 extensions I needed to use with the long tubes touched the header and got burned up, but it's late and I don't have time to crawl under the car now to check... I will tomorrow and if so this will all be answered, but I assumed that if this was the scenario the car would be running like crap and spitting out black smoke (forget what thats called.. open loop, closed loop..?).

ANY IDEAS!?!? Thanks!

You motivated me to do a little bit of searching <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Seems like it's not unusual to have this persist after ruling out typical causes like leaks. P1133 looks to be more frequent than P1153, but that's mostly based on my own recollection of postings. Found this thread which may be of interest

You might look at the B1S1 voltage. The code will set if the switching amplitude is not large enough, it wants to see switches from less than 300 mV to greater than 600 mV and vice versa (after the engine is warmed up, engine at cruising RPM.)

Did you start seeing this immediately after the header install?

I get it about once every 3-4 weeks in my daily driver (no extensions) but haven't messed with chasing it down since it's just easier to clear the code. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
