How long does the Hypertech take to kick in?

How long does the Hypertech take to kick in? I programmed the TA for the new gears and maybe it's just me but I feel like the speedo reads about 5mph too fast. I am not sure, I'm still not used to the gears so it could be me.
I have 3.42s now and I run around 2500 rpms@80mph. Is that right in an A4?
I did program for shift points last week and that did work as well as fan temps but the speedo just seems off.

Re: How long does the Hypertech take to kick in? Best way to find out if it is off is to get a friend to pace you in a family sedan with an accurate speedometer and talk on the cell phone comparing speeds.
What tire height did you use?
BTW, all HPP3 tuning kicks in instantly.

Re: How long does the Hypertech take to kick in? The poormans way to check the calibration somewhat of the speedometer is to get on an Interstate or road with a nice wide shoulder and mile markers. You pull up and make the mile marker be some exact point on your car, reset your trip odometer to zero, and drive a two or three miles and stop at the same spot. If you are off, your odometer will either show to much or too little on the tenths side indicating how much you are off. Gives a rough idea. I had to check my speedometer, but was lucky enough that the Police had set up a radar speed indicator and I used it to check my speed, I then used LS1 Edit to get it back in calibration.
