LS1 Edit – Torque management questions
LS1 Edit – Torque management questions Under the Ignition tab I have zeroed both of the TCS tables. I set max torque to 600. I set the Abuse Mode Test RPM to >7000 speed <0. With the above changes I still see timing drop to 15 degrees on the shifts. I think this is coming from the Spark Retard Limit table in the Ignition section. I change from 4000RPM up to 15 from -10. What changes if any do I need to make in the Torque Reduction table?
Also under the Transmission section - A4 Shift Firmness - Abuse Mode section. What should the MPH, RPM, and %TPS be set to? It is currently set to 255 MPH, 4800 RPM, and 26% TPS. Do these values mean that if you are going less that 255mph and RPM is greater than 4800 and your TPS is greater than 26% then torque management will be activated?
Should I zero out the Torque Reduction table as well?
This is on a 98 Z28.

Re: LS1 Edit – Torque management questions So far nothing done in Edit seems to work to FULLY delete TM. I played with the 1.05 Beta for quite some time to no avail with no news from Ken. Supposedly he has now found something else in the code that may help us out in version 1.06. (I sure dont envy his job of trying to break all that computer code stuff - keep up the good work Ken) My best advice to you at this point is to just use the Spark Retard Limit table to keep the timing up during shifts. I have mine set at 20 degrees with no ill effects so far.
