Default Custom tuning help please.

What company's custom tuning should I trust? I keep hearing of people with Ed Wright tuning. Is that the best? If so, where can I find out about it?

Ed Wright is Superchips. I thought he was a sponsor of this site but I don't se them. Try doing a search. If you've got a little time and patience I would recomend doing it yourself with LS1 Edit from Carputing LLC. Currently I've got Ed's program but I just got LS1 Edit and Ed's program is about to be gone.

Ed wright is fastchips.

Many of the sponsors here do custom tuning - your best bet is going to be finding someone competent and close to you - you need the car tuned in person to have it done properly.

Sorry ChrisB my mistake

I agree with Chris if your going to get custom programing you might as well have it dyno tuned and you would want that done somewhere close.
Ed's in Oklahoma that would be a long way to take your car.

I wouldn't use Cartek. I bought there H/C package. Heads were junk, the cam went down and it took them three months to get my PCM back to me the first time. After the cam went down they said they would replace the cam for me and it took six months to get that.

There customer service sucks. They straight out lied to me countless times about when they shipped the PCM and the cam.

On top of all that when the car was running (for six months between the time I finally got my PCM back and when the cam went down) I had a best trap speed of 113.8 MPH. For a six speed car this is not in line with the 417 RWHP that they claimed there package would net. Unfortunatly the cam went down and screwed up the block before I was able to dyno there package. But, and Julio at CarTek even admitted this, for a six speed I should have had trap speeds in the 117-119 range with the kind of power they advertised.
