Clear codes without a use of a tuner?
I did search, and read the FAQ's listed at the top of this section, although wasn't able to find a way to clear codes without the use of a scanner. I know I've seen a link to instructions posed on here at one time. Could somebody please at least point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

yes. I am assuming you have an fbody? well here's what works with mine
-key in car & turn ignition to "ON" (do not start car)
-pull the PCM BATT fuse in the engine compartment
-Wait 5-7 minutes
-put fuse back in
-turn key to "OFF"
-then start car and let run
this clears any ses lights or codes. Works for me every time!
Good luck.

Thanks for the help... I just remembered I forgot to explain what I have. I came back to edit my post.
You are correct, I do have an '02 SS.
I went through a fairly similar process but didn't wait the 5-7 minutes. When I popped the fuse back in and fired it up I still had the code. I figured I was missing a different power source for the PCM.
Thanks again for the help. I just really need to break down and get a tuner. This is the first code I've ever thrown and I felt helpless without a way to diagnose it. I had it scanned and do know the code. I'm just wanting to see if it pops the code again before I start throwing cash at it.
Also... the more I read on here, the more I feel like doing a little tweaking.

I don"t beleive most PCM tuners (LS1Edit) have code readers built in.
I think the code readaers that run on PC software are junk.
I just bought a scan code reader from JC Whitney (EquusOBD2 - 47zx7867p). It works with all OBD2 cars including the Gernam and Ricer cars. Price was $99.

I hadn't yet left the battery disconnected, I figured that would clear it, although I knew there had to be another way.
