I find it best to drive around the city for about 10-15 minutes, with maybe a quick spurt on the freeway. Try to find some hills to go up, and do some "spirited driving" but not wide open throttle. Also use as little idle and decelleration as you can. In other words, try to get your PCM to use as many fuel trim cells as possible. Do not use idle, de-celeration or WOT cells in your average. Good Luck

thanks vettpartz,
what cells are you talking about???
i use an EASE scanner, so i don't think it shows the cells. it does however have an "Ltrim Avg." reading, right after ltrim reading. would that count??

I also use the EASE. There is a parameter in there called "Fuel Trim Cell" which I always monitor. After a logged run, I only use values obtained in cells 1-16. Average the amounts in "LONGFT1" for the left bank, and from "LONGFT2" for the right bank. Good Luck

Don't know, never have tried it. The other way sure seems like it is working great for me and a few others.
