Default Question about LTFTs and STFTs...

My understanding is that if a STFT is seen enough then it will permanently work itself into the LTFT value....is that correct?

So, if my LTFT is 10 and my STFT is consistently -5, then my new LTFT will eventually become 5, is that right?

Here is how I have been trying to get my LTRIMs in line...I autotap and take MAP, BARO, FUEL CELL, STFT1,STFT2,LTFT1,LTFT2.

Then I take BARO-MAP to get the load in KPA and I divide the data by KPA sections like they appear in edit...0,5,10,15,20...80! Then I take all of the values from 0-4.99 and add LTFT1 and STFT1 (column1), then I add LTFT2 and STFT2(column2). I take the average of column1, then I take the average of column2...then I average these two values together. I repeat this procedure for 5-9.99,10-14.99, etc. I take the averaged number and subtract it from 100...the resulting number is the percentage by which I will multiply my Injector Flow Rate table.

Is this correct?

For example:

LTFT1 STFT1 LTFT2 STFT2 KPA Column1 Column2
10 -5 5 -3 1.5 5 2
8 -5 4 -1 2.0 3 4
_________________________________________________
AVERAGE of column1((5+3)/2) =4
AVERAGE of column2((2+4)/2) =3
Average of column1 & column2 ((4+3)/2) = 3.5
100-3.5 = 96.5

So I would multiply my Injector Flow Rate table for 0 KPA by 96.5% to richen up the table...I would repeat this for every KPA value.

Scott
