Default Man, this car is giving me a headache....

We're trying to SD tune our 00 automatic that we recently put a built motor in, the car was down for alittle over 4 months and fired up on the old tune without any issues. When I tried to put the car into speed density mode for some reason the car didn't want to go. It appears like the car is stuck with a MAF, put the fail frequency to 0 and it still seems to rely on the MAF. I turned the LTFT and sensors back on to drive it and drives normal but just won't go into SD mode. Here's a couple things we're seeing....

DIC Volts: 14.0
HPT 2.0 Scanner VCM Volts: 10.8
** Should there be a difference here? Could this mean a bad ground?

Air to Fuel: all over the place, goes from 13.8 - 16.5
Timing: Normal notice some very small knock
** The car has been down for 4 months, could the gas be bad, leading to inconsistent A/F

HPT Program...
MAF Fail = 0
Innovate Wideband hooked up and calibrated with a fresh sensor
Closed Loop Enable temp = 284
Open Loop EQ = 1.00 && 1.13 75kpa+
LTFT = disable
PE = 1.00

I am lost!

Do you have access to the number of times it fails before it sets the DTC in HPT? I've never used it before. If not, do you have access to an older version of HPT that doesn't encrypt the bin file? If so, I'd be happy to modify it for you.

Phil, I had a similar issue with a friends STS car, after driving for a few miles, finally the SES light for MAF Fail came on. Wierd. Not sure why, but maybe try just putting around a bit, easy on it and see if it kicks into self protect mode.

Why would you put the PE at 1.00? I thought you would want this set to 1.18 or so for protection.

I'm guessing he did it so even if it hits PE, it will still be commanding 14.63 and not skew any logging. It's not dangerous as long as you know what you're doing.
