EFI Live vs. LS1Edit

It looks like EFI Live can do some PCM editting, but it does data logging. Would this be better than LS1Edit and the basic AutoTap?

As soon as you disconnect eflive all setting go back to what is programmed. Its only supposed be used on a dyno to change a setting so you can see the effect quickly.

the answer to your question is no. efi live has no where near the tuning capability of edit.

Hi Burbanman,

Mightymouse and Gary are both right in saying that EFILive does not do what LS1Edit does.

EFILiveV5 is a scan tool which can monitor and log data and override certain PCM operations such as spark advance, AFR, Idle speed, injectors, gear selection and TCC lockup.

The override capability of EFILiveV5 is temporary and will cease to have any effect on your vehicle after EFILiveV5 is disconnected.

If you want to make any changes permanent then you will need LS1Edit.
