George Coffey (GeorgeC) is trying that right now. He has eliminated the O2 sensors and is tuning the car in open loop. He has a high-revving solid-lift motor and runs race gas. This is one of the reasons he wanted to delete the O2s. His car is not really driven on the street.

I know he had some issues with part throttle driving (42lb SVO injectors), but when he put the stock injectors in, the car ran better.

Default Anyone run constant open loop?

Just wondering if anyone is doing this for an LS1. I have seen this to be a solution for some LT1/LT4 cars that have problems tuning closed loop. For example my car runs perfect in open loop(first 10min of warmup) once the car gets to a certain operating temp(enters closed loop) and then I lose all my power. Ive sent my PCM back 3 times to be fixed and I still get the problem in closed loop, so im f*cking tired of playing this game. If it works fine in open loop why not just elimate the problem(closed loop) from the equation. Seems to make absolute sense to me. Does my thinking seem logical here or am I way off? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
