Default EASE vs ATAP / LS1-LS6edit vs EFI Live

Howdy,

I have seen some folks doing some tuning. It all looks very interesting. Just a quick question.

Are most folks using AutoTap rather than EASE. If so, why.... I understand that EASE and ATAP are both scanners. Any feeling on which is the best. My impression is that here on the LS1tech site EASE seems to be the choice. I guess my question there is, which is the better package. I have seen posts about problems with ATAPs new version. Is all that fixed.

Are there significantly more fetures to LS1/LS6 edit than EFILive from Autotap. I understand that EFILive and LS6edit are both ECM "editing" tools. Has anyone used EFIlive vs LS1/ LS6edit. If they have, is LS1/LS6edit just head and shoulders above EFILIve? If so, what are they. Is there a general consesus on which is best? In a cursory look it appears that Ls1/LS6 edit is more feture rich. It appears that EFILive has some paramter tuning, but not nearly so much as LS1/LS6 edit.

I am just looking for the best package for my car which is a 2002 Z06.

EFILive is not the same thing as LS1Edit. It's not even similar. EFILive is still mainly a scan tool like Autotap and Ease. It does contain controls to temporarily overide the PCM, but those changes are not permenant. Thus, you can't use it to tune your car.

I had just gotten a response of a similar nature on another site. I saw the function such as fuel map etc... that you could modify. I was not aware that this was only good until you shut the car off. Hence the reason I thought it was an editor pkg.

Please excsue my ignorance. So, it looks as if LS1/LS6 edit is the way to go. Now just the quesion of "capture" packages.

Looks like EASE so far, comments anyone...
