New Cam...TC won't Lock-Up
Just installed the Ls1 HOtCam and now my TC won't lock-up. What exactly do i change to get the misfire detection to not affect the TC or whatever affects the TC. I have deleted all associated codes and got it tunned and now i want my gas mileage back Can anyone shed some light on this subject. Great thanks, James.

Someone posted this on here b4 (I don't take credit for this ):
In the Diagnostic section of LS1_Edit, change the misfire temp settings to begin @ 140 and end @ 139 degrees.

Re: New Cam...TC won't Lock-Up
Do not mess with the temp settings. I believe that Texas now has I/M240 emissions scan for your OBDII car, and by disabling a test by setting the parameters outside normal operating range you will most likely fail the test. Also, you can fix lock-up without disabling the test anyway, that way if you have a bad plug, injector, coil etc. you will still show misfires and can log them on a-tap.
Here is what you do to fix lock-up.
Go into the misfire tables. The tabs read something like
Idle by cyl
Low RPM
Low by cyl
Or something like that. When you click on these tabs you will see a table. What you want to do is change all the values on the tables for “idle” and “low” RPM ranges to 32,767 (which is the max I believe). This is what I did, and I now have full lock-up just like before the cam. The PCM will still read misfires at medium and high rpm if something breaks like a valve spring, and you will still pass the emissions scan this way. You also need to make sure all the “tests” are toggled to “on” for the emissions equipment to pass the scan test. This can be done in the engine diao. Section. You can set the MIL to type X = off but leave the tests on to pass. You can download stock setting info from ChrisB’s site if needed. Not all the tests are supposed to be on, so you will need to go through them and check against stock. If you don’t have emissions scanning then don’t worry about that though...
Maxing out those tables should fix your lockup.

Re: New Cam...TC won't Lock-Up
Tried the method above, but my TC doesn't stay locked all the time...look like that I have enough (total # of) misfires that cause the TC to unlock in the low rpm range.
