EFILiveV5 question
Anyway, here is the question. I have the demo version and a AT123 cable, version 1.xx hardware. I do the 5 second log of about 10 items and get about 25 frames. I thought I was supposed to be getting at least 10 frames per second. Is this a limitation of the demo version? Or is it a limitation of my laptop? Or is it a limitation of the LT1 OBD2 setup? My laptop is a P166 MMX with 64 megs of ram. I did read somewhere that you will get more frames if you dont watch the guages screen since it takes alot of power to draw them, maybe that is the cause of my low frame/sec count???
Another question, can you just watch the guages in realtime without logging? If so how do you do it? Or do you need the full version to do this?
I made a post at www.LT1Tech.com letting people know that this software works with the LT1 also. You EFILive guys might want to check us out over there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

EFILiveV5 sends two commands to the PCM to request 2x5 frames per second. I believe the LT1 only recognises one of those commands so it will only send data at 5 frames per second.
I do not know if this is a limitation of the LT1 - there may be a command that can request the LT1 to send 10 frames per second. Of the 2 commands that EFILiveV5 sends to the LS1, it appears that only 1 is recognised by the LT1.
The monitoring and logging data are limited to 5 seconds in the demo version.
