running too rich! need help please! Ever since I installed the TR230 cam, I've been running extremely rich. I Atap'd my car this weekend and my Ltrims were -11.2 & -11.3. This was after already multiplying the tables by +5% using LS1edit. When the car is in cruise, both Ltrims stay at -12.5. I am throwing a Low MAF failure, which is confusing as well. I am using a friends MAF that he used for about a month, and even put on another MAF and the code still was set.
What do I need to do using Edit to lean out this car some!

Re: running too rich! need help please! First of all, running very rich can be very bad. You run the risk of washing your rings out. This leads to an early re-build as well as smoking like a locomotive. Be careful how much you drive it in this condition.
I think the bulk of your problem is the MAF Failure. If your MAF fails, the PCM will use a totally different set of values for operating the car. This mode is called Volumetric Efficiency mode (I think). When in this mode, the PCM is basically doing a calculated crap shoot on how much air is getting into the engine. If you have aftermarket H/C or even just a cam, when running in VE mode, you will be excessivly rich. Additionally, all changes you make to the MAF tranfer tables will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because the PCM is referencing a totally different table on how much air is getting into the engine.
You need to fix the MAF failure first. Check all MAF wiring. Check the MAF plug. There is also an inline fuse for the MAF, unfortunately, I have never replaced it. Do a search for MAF failure, there have been several people that have blown this fuse.

Re: running too rich! need help please! Yep, fix the MAF code first, and the rest of your problems will probably fix themselves.
In addition to what was posted above verify that your "Eng Sense" fuse is not blown.
