Q.'s HPP3 (vs. SuperChip)
What are some things you can do with a stock car on a HPP3 that will give you more hp and torque?
Is there anything on a HPP3 to tell it you have an aftermarket lid, filter, and ram air?
Is it easy to learn how to use an HPP3? Thanks.

My understanding is that with a SuperChip they program all the variables for you . . . hopefully, after you tell them what you have, they take that into account.
An HPP3 is programmable - for power tuning, max revs, shift points, shift harshness (auto), different thermos, tire heights, & differential gears, etc. For example, on mine, power tuning is on, rpms increased to 6,400, thermo set for a 160, and shift "harshness" set to 100% (still pretty soft).
There is nothing on a HPP3 to tell it that you have an aftermarket lid, filter, and ram air. But it does an excellent job.
It is very easy to learn how to use an HPP3!
The purists here use LS1 Edit . . . with their notebooks and that program, they can program virtually anything. But it requires a lot more work and infinite patience (not to mention skill and computer savvy) . . . and it's far easier to screw things up. But, in the right hands, it's an extremely useful tool! Just read some of the threads.
All in all, I like the HPP3 . . . its a no brainer! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
