Default Paging Matt Harlan

I emailed you awhile back, but I've lost your email address since then. I've had one of your shiftlights, and besides a problem early on (a clear glue like subsance I scraped out-it wouldn't let me pull out the chip) its been flawless.

A couple months ago it just started flashing, and it will no longer hold an rpm setting. What can I do to fix this?

TTT...I am having the same problem.

I think that it has something to do with the lights in the car, as my problem is intermediate.

Matt,

What was the fix for the wipers? Wasn't it wiring up a resistor in line...could you let me know where the resistor goes? I want to try that before I send it back to you (it is painted to match the interior and looks awesome where it is!)

If it's random flash with the wipers, etc a capacitor across the 12+ and ground wire is the fix. That's standard on all the new ones since the beginning of the year.

If it's a constant flash, you will need to reprogram both the RPM and the cylinder settings to refresh the memory.

If it doesn't take, i'll be glad to repair it.

I tried reprogramming, but it is still intermitant...not with the wipers, but the lights most of the time.

How large a capacitor?

Its constant flashing and it wont hold a setting anymore. I talked to you a few months ago about it, and you asked for my address to send a new one out I beleive. Are you still up for that or should I send mine back to you (have you made any changes to them since I got mine about a year or two ago) ?
