question about mafs.

question about mafs. do you guys know of anywhere i could get some information about the screens in the maf? i took my car in for warranty repairs and they noticed that there wasnt a screen on the maf- so they denied the claim stating that since there was no screen on there, that it caused the motor to go lean and caused my problems. but i know that is not what caused the problems. doesnt the z06 not have one?? know of any ideas that could help me out or where i could get some information on this? thanks in advance

Re: question about mafs. Well...If you need to ask on here about the screen, why did you take it off to begin with? You must have thought it would do something so thats why you took it off... Generally removing the screen can cause you to go lean because of the additional airflow.
You should just do a search in this forum on MAF screen this topic has been discussed a hundred times you will get all your answers.
BTW didnt tell us what type of problem your having and why you think going lean didnt cause it...If your used to doing things like taking out the screen without really knowing that much about it what else have you done to the car? Im not trying to flame you Im just saying you should give us some more info about your problem and do some research!
