ls1 tuning
I finally made it out to Fast freddys last saturday. It was a last minute thing so I did not get to get in touch. There was a new collector edition there, and a SOM (I think 2001) R/A. LS-1 Edit is a great tool, and not that many people have it yet. The only problem is that now there are enough bolt on tools (Timing adjuster, and MAFT) to take care of cars with all of the bolt-ons. It looks to me like LS-1 edit will only need to be used in big cube applications and H/C cars. On the other hand a MAFT and T/A will run you at least $300 and if you can find someone with LS-1 edit that would probably be a better tool.
BTW: any new track times or mods??
My car is going up to PA next month for FLP's, Ram clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, adj master, and new slave. I bought a MAFT just in case as well, so I can do some adjusting if needed when it gets strapped down.
Yes it would be worth your friend's time for a number of reasons:
a. there's A LOT of LS1's out there
(F-cars, Y-cars, Monaro/GTO, trucks);
b. it would make the edit market competive;
c. if he's technically good and reasonable minded, he'll make lots of money.
