Open Loop Mode: How do I... I'd like to try to lean the car a bit at start up until it goes in closed loop.
* Do I lower the values in the VE table in the lower rpm, lower map areas?
* Any suggestion for how much of an adjustment to try on a H&C car? I was thinking of trying a 5% reduction and see if the car starts fine w/o smelling like a can of gasoline was spilled behind the car. <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />

Re: Open Loop Mode: How do I... To be honest, I haven't done much in the way of part throttle tuning... My car is still a bit lean @ idle and part throttle, especially at a part throttle cruise. Luckily, I don't spend too much time at part throttle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
AFAIK, the VE tables are for speed density mode only, and have zero affect w/the MAF plugged in and working. I do know that you can alter the MAF table a bit and change the AF ratio at part throttle.
Someday I'll really mess around with mine and see if I can get a little better driveability out of it... Sorry I couldn't really help. Maybe ChrisB will offer some insight, as he really knows his stuff when it comes to tuning!

I guess I'll ATAP the car at start-up and see what MAF frequencies are being used and the lean it out that way.
When the car is open loop what if anything does the computer do with LTRIM/Strim information?
