!IAT mod
I saw this free IAT mod on installuniversity.com where they just put a resistor in the tip of it and it made the computer read the air was coming in at 57 fehrenheit. They said they got 1.5 degrees of timing advance. Anyone done this? Does it work if so how well? Thanks!

Re: !IAT mod
IMHO, would not recommend you do it that way for that means the engine starts with STFTs zero'd out and PCM adjusts to the phony value and the constant resistor value causes more harm to LTFT and timing.
I tested this for some months, cold, hot, street and track and out of that designed this circuit :
IaTuner, Go here
This allows engine to start and use stock IAT sensor and when you want to fool the PCM flip a switch and turn a resistor pot to the temp value that would be best for that time.
This way you can make it colder or hotter to fudge lean/rich issues, esp like when getting through staging lanes to tree at drag strip.

It works well for me but it depends on alot of variables. 1.5 degrees timing advance is useless if you are also getting -4 degrees of KR.
