Manual fan switch useless?

You can cut your fans on with your car not even running to cool it off.

Thats the only upside? leaving the hood open is good nuf for me, anytime i race its usually 60-75f outside, cools down quick...

Default Manual fan switch useless?
Is it just me or can you just turn your ac on before you run(unless they care about water dripping) or just turn the heat on high? Seems to turn my fans on...whats the difference in this and a 70 dollar switch...im confused....
