"Incorrect Checksum" Problem with EFILIVE V5
I'm using hte ATV2.0.1 cable on win XP and thru the edgeport usb to serial adapter. the software connects just fine to the software, i can check DTC's and use the control panel to do things to the car, and it responds accordingly, so i am led to believe that the hardware is fine,
my problem is that it will not log, every time i click the "Start Real Time Data Display" , it prompts with a save file box for some reason, reguardless if logging is on or off, "the little green square". if i choose save, it gives me an error every time saying "ATV2(V2.0.1) ERROR: $03 INCORRECT CHECKSUM" and it will not start logging, and if i click cancel, it doesn't do anything either
Please help, i have searched everywhere and have seen no mention of my particular problem
I have noticed that sometimes it will start to logg and work ok....maybe once out of every 100 attempts....if i stop logging, it will not start back. But the car always stays connected and the control panel works fine
is this a possible hardware problem?
(V5.24.0 Build 424)
If not I suggest downloading the latest version here:

An incorrect checksum is the check the communication protocol does to make sure your getting the correct data across the cable. HTH.
