It can be purchased thru a GM dealership if they will order you one. When I was still in GM engineering, I was buying them for $1885. When I got out on my own, it cost me $2200 to buy one. Don't run out and get one if you don't have the support from a local dealership to initialize it and periodically update for you. An actual Tech 2 is supported and updated thru software at the dealership level; they really aren't designed for public use. IF you are in good with a dealership and they will help you update it, you will have the best scan tool made for a GM product! The thing is fantastic! Troubleshooting, datalogging, factory reprogramming, it does it all!

Good luck,

What he said, I want one, but even a re-man unit is $1,200 for me. But if you can keep constant updates, you're set.
