car slowed down after mods and re-programming. WTF?
Then I put in a Vigilante 2800, Lid, and did the free mods. It then ran a best of 8.46 at 82mph. w/ 1.85 60-ft.
All these passes were done in hot and humid weather (90-100*, and 80-90% humidity)
But still I see bone stock LS1's running 8.5 to 8.6 at 84-85mph in the same conditions with street tires. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
Now comes the good part <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
I upped the stall to a Vigilante 3200, then installed a 3" catback. I also found out that my car needed the PCM re-programmed. It had a total of 8 updates. I got this done at the dealership just yesterday. It seemed to run better... but..
I took it to the track tonite, and it felt slow and ran slower! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Tonite it was right around 60* and 30% humidity - PERFECT racing weather.
First pass it did 8.64 at 81.06
second pass was 8.63 at 81.55
third was 8.57 at 81.66
The 60-ft times are still the same at 1.85. ALL passes I've ever made were done on slicks with excellent traction. I noticed that my car is idling high, but when I sit at a stop, it idles rough...like I have a mild cam.
Also, the check engine light is OFF.
Does anyone have any idea what co uld be causing this?
This sucks! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
:crap:
