Default ?? about electric fan setting?

hi,
i wonder if there is anything other than HPP3 or SLP fan switch to turn on the electric fans in our cars,
i was thinking of buying a 160 thermostat but don't want to spend the money on a HPP3 for the fan setting, and i dont want to do it manualy like using SLP's switch,

so, if you know of any cheaper stuff to do that, please post it here,

thanks in advance,

Several options to my original mod are explained in a continuation of the original thread. For example, you can use the RED and WHITE wire to activate the HIGH speed fan instead of the LOW speed fan if you need additional cooling. Also indicator lights and adding a relay are discussed.

OK, short of running wires and switches everywhere, is there something can be done without giving Hypertach or SLP any of my money?!?!

I put a 160 degre thermostat on my 2002 SS and I can't tell a difference. The only way I know of to get your fan working at a lower temperature without doing any wiring is with a Hyper-tech PP3 or with LS1 Edit

I dont think that is "running wires and switches everywhere"

The options to the mod get more complex but the basic mod is EXTREMELY easy.
