Default Timeing ?

ok...forgive my ingorance but I am alittel confussed on what these new engines want for base timeing. What is the recommended base timeing supposed to be and what is the maximum timeing you should see throughout the timeing curve.
Take for instance I am see almost 40* timeing just juicin the throttle in park. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> . To me that is alittle too much timing and if soo what do I do the change this as the timeing adjustments in LS1 Edit are kinda vaige.
Thanks for your time..

Default Re: Timeing ?

I wouldn't worry about idle timing, the important issues are WOT timing and tip-in throttle timing.
WOT timing should be around 28-30 degrees for N/A app's.
