Questions about MAFT tuning
I just ordered a MAFT from TR but don't have any previous experience using them. The main reason for ordering it was because I plan on getting LT headers soon and have heard they may mess up my A/F ratio. I plan to take the car to the dyno after I install the translator. So here are my questions.
1 I know I can tune the WOT setting using wideband O2 from the dyno, but is there a way to tune the base (part-throttle) setting without the use of autotap?(I don't have access to A-Tap )
2 Can I cause any damage by only tuning the WOT setting?
3 What A/F ratios exactly am I looking for at part-throttle and WOT?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You definitely need to scan the car to get the part throttle Ltrms set to "0" + or - and then you can adjust the WOT O2s or A/F ratio on a wide band. The base directly affects the WOT O2s. Yes you can cause damage by adjusting the WOT O2s. If you go too lean it can get ugly. Cylinder temps and detonation. Don't gamble with it. Just find someone who can Atap/scan it for you locally. the shop that does the Dyno tuning can probably help you out with that also. I think most people target 13.0 A/F ratio. Good luck.
