PCM Problems? PLEASE HELP!!!
Well I emailed GWP LS1 Edit file and they edited the fuel curves for me to match the new 42lbs injectors. I flashed the PCM with this new file and I got the same DIC codes that I recieved when I read my PCM for the first time. Reduce engine power, and somethnig else with the traction control system.
So I did what carputing recomended, I Reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for about 3 minutes. I hooked it back up and started the car, about 10-15 seconds of the car idleling the reduce engine power comes on and traction control problem comes on.
After playing with this a few hours I have noticed that if I reset the code with Option and Fuel 4 times I can get the PCM reset and the car start again with no codes.
I also noticed that the car doesnt give me any codes while I rev it above 1500 RPM. But once I get my foot of the gas the car drops into idle and no more than 2-3 seconds I get the reduce engine power again. I have brought the car to operating temp reved it past 5000RPM, everthing runs smooth until I let go of the throttle?
I dont know if GWP program has something messed up or if my pcm didnt flash correctly, Iam clueless??????????
I talked to my local mechanic and I told him that I programed the PCM and he asked me if I did some kind of jumpercable under the passenger seat front rug. I told hm no and he said that I probably fried my PCM. But I dont think he is too familiar with ls1 edit.
I dont know much, let me refraise that, I dont know didly about tuning so I have know Idea what is going on with my car at this point.
I just want to get my car running again.
Oh, I almost forgot to give you guys the DIC codes. Her they are:
P1414 H C - I cant reference this code anywhere? I have no Idea what it is.
C1278 - TCS Temporarily Inhibited by PCM
the next two I havent seen them come up since my recent atempts to make this work but they where being caused in earlier attempts.
U1064 - Loss of communication with DCM (No SOH Message Recieved - RFA)
U1096 - Loss of communication with IPC (No SOH Message Recieved - RFA)
Well thats it. If you guys can study this problem and figure it out you guys will be considered LS1 Gods in my book.
If anyone wants to see the file that I flashed my PCM with I will e-mail it to you upone request.
Thanks.
Carlos.
Does anyone recall this procedure, I would like to try it. I did have the PCM out of the car for about 45 days. And I had the battery of the car disconnected for this amount of time also. Maybe its that the car need to learn the PCM because it doesnt recognize it?
If anyone knows what this procedure is post it up or provide me with a link to where I can get it.
It fixed the problem with the trouble codes, but Iam still having a problem with the idle.
The car starts fine, with out me having to give it gas, and idles like a charm at 1000RPMs cold and 850RPM hot. But if I hit the gas and rev her up, she revs fine but as the RPM come down they go below 200 and sometimes she bounces back and recovers but most of the time she shuts off.
Can it be that the 1/8" hole is too small or is this a tuning issue.
Please help me guys. I want to here your stories.
How big of a hole are you guys drilling into the throttle body plate?
Is their anything in LS1 Edit that can be adjusted to prevent her from shutting off when the RPMs come down?
