Where to look next?
Where to look next? My OBD2 scanner pulled the code P0171 which means 'System too lean (Bank 1)'. Can anyone tell me what this means and/or point where I should look next?
it could mean a lot of things, but mostly, it means your o2 sensor on that side is seeing a lean condition
I would guess a couple things
1) exhaust leak on that side of the engine
2) bad o2 sensor for whatever reason
3) fuel injector on that side not dumping enough fuel
4) you're really just lean and need it tuned although i'd think your bank2 code would be set also
bottom line is get a logger and even better would be a wb

ok guys my car is throwing this same code, will i be safe to drive my car with it for a little while with it on. Of course since its running lean on wont get on it or anything, but do you all think i can mess anything up by driving it easy until i figure out why my car is throwing this code? Sorry to hi-jack the thread.
