Default new ecm in 98

hey guys, i am planning to buy hp tuner in a couple of days and i was looking at their speed density tuning stuff, i know that it would not work with the 98 ecm but i can get new ecms through my work for pretty cheap and was wondering if i could put a newer ecm in my car to do the density tune?
not planning on doing it...but wanted to know if i even could...
thanks

It is possible, but seems to be a PITA ... you'll need the 1999+ Wiring harness also... Speed Inc sells something that lets you keep your current gauges even w/the 99+ PCM and harness ...

The Temp sensor is different on 98s, but I believe the rest of the connectors are the same

Hopefully someone that's done the conversion will post up (if we can get a good writeup on the conversion we could make it a sticky)
