hypertech or ls1edit I have a 2000 5.3 silverado with many mods i bought a h.p.III. I was reading on the ls1 edit would it be better for my truck or does it do the same thing. If i bought the ls1 edit what else would i have to buy to tune my truck. and how much?
Re: hypertech or ls1edit LS1 Edit is very powerful, but can get to be a healthy investment.
LS1 Edit: $500
Monitoring Software: $200 (a-tap, EFI Live etc...)
Laptop: $1500 (for a used decent one)
Natually, there are comprimises that you can make. One guy hauled his desktop PC out onto his lawn for LS1 Edit Tuning and plugging it into his car.
You can go to a dyno to just tune WOT stuff instead of purchasing some form of monitoring software.
