CAR IS DEAD!!!!! Please HELP

CAR IS DEAD!!!!! Please HELP I got in my car last night, started it up it ran fine for about 2-3 seconds then died. Tried to start it up again and abslutley nothin.
The car has absolutley no power.
No inside lights are coming on NOTHING and I MEAN NOTHING is working. It is almost as if there is not battery on the car.
The only thing that the car shows some signs of life is the SES light and the AIG BAG lights are coming on. Also there is a tapping/ticking noise coming from he passenger floorboard.
I have heard something about the car not recognizing the key or something.
Can custom programming or Edit cure this problem??

Re: CAR IS DEAD!!!!! Please HELP May sound wierd, but check your fuses, i had the "gauges" fuse blow on me for no reason and i experienced the exact problems you are having... Nothing would come on at all... Check it out...

Re: CAR IS DEAD!!!!! Please HELP tapping/clicking is probably the starter/alternator turning over..
more than likely you have a dead battery..
have you checked it?? Maybe your alternator went bad and killed the battery. Also the ticking could be a loose connection somewhere. Power could be arcing... check the main 12volt power connections to the front fuse panel under hood. Also check the power to the alternator to make sure none of the lines are burnt/cut
check the simple things and go from there..
but tuning isnt gonna help a car that wont start

Re: CAR IS DEAD!!!!! Please HELP I had the same problem back in August. It wound up being a bad cell in the battery. If you unplug the battery when the ticking noise is going on, and let it sit for a minute before putting the bat cable back on, will give you another shot a starting. It will be a 50/50 shot if it'll start. Your best bet is to get another battery (but have yours tested first).

You'll pull your hair out trying to figure out what is happening. Change out the battery and all will be well again...
