Going to a dyno on Monday...any pointers or suggestions? I'm going to have my 'bird dynoed on a Dynojet dyno at a Cozzolino Motorsports in Indianapolis on Monday. They offer three pulls for $75. This is the first time I've ever dynoed a car, so are there any suggestions, pointers, or words to the wise that I should know before doing it? I will be the one operating the car during the pulls, and the shop owner will be operating the computer. Also, with the mods I've listed below what do you project my horsepower and torque ratings will be at the engine and the rear wheels?
Re: Going to a dyno on Monday...any pointers or suggestions? Do you have an A4 or M6? With the exact same mods as yours (stock bellows) my '99 A4 pulled 310/318. This was with a perfect a/f. Do you have atap? Is it tuned good after your mods?

Re: Going to a dyno on Monday...any pointers or suggestions? Yeah, when he "flags" you to punch it, this ain't no Safeway parking lot yer pulling out of! This is a dyno run, and you want to show all the power you have. This is about bragging rights!
Literally, lift yer @ss offa the seat and abso-fargin-lutely NAIL the throttle when he says "go". Leg cramp if ya have to!! Since a dyno is really an "accelerometer", it is measuring yer car's ability to accelerate. it doesn't know from touchy-feely. Punch it. As *hard & fast* as ya can.

Re: Going to a dyno on Monday...any pointers or suggestions? I have an A4. No, I don't have atap. I'm not exactly sure what atap is? I was told it works well to use Heet in the gas tank to avoid knock retard and to run the car all the way up to the rev limiter.....
A friend of mine dynoed his '98 T/A recently, and he experienced downshifts while nailing it on the dyno. He was in third gear, but a couple of times the car shifted upon acceleration. Didn't seem to phase his pulls any....

Re: Going to a dyno on Monday...any pointers or suggestions? Definately, Definately spend the extra $30 and get wideband O2 reading for AF ratio. My WOT AF ratio is 11:1 on a stock 02 TA! It'll help you determine if you need tuning or not.
