Low Coolant light?

Yeah its on but the coolant level is fine. What the hell? 41k miles. Same thing happened in my LT1 camaro. Why is this?

i think ive read on here in a few places that the coolant level sensor is a POS and goes bad often! More than likely it may need to be fixed or replaced

Before you buy a new sensor clean the old one!! Most of the time it is just a dirty sensor. This is quite common to our cars. It has happenned to me a couple of times. It is a simple job. Syphon out enough coolant to be able to disconnect sensor. A turkey baster works gtreat for this. Clean off the sensor. Put back in. Refill radiator. You're done. You may or may not want to reset/clear the code but usually it clears itself.
