IAC Questions, Please Respond

IAC Questions, Please Respond My car started this weird slight surging. I asked around on here and got little, but I found out through friend that the IAC might be sticking, throwing all messed up counts. So, I pulled the IAC out and yep, she was a carboned up. Wiped it down and reinstalled. Almost eliminated that problem, but not fully, now there is a way less prominent surge fewer and farther between 'em too. Now, can you use a cleaner of anysort other than dry towel to clean these things out, like brake cleaner, or what?? Has anyone else had this problem? And finally, could this carbon buildup be from performing the EGR tube mod??? TIA.

Re: IAC Questions, Please Respond Jwrench, who would've thunk it that I'd get info from someone in Cashville, I just left there this Jan. Hell man, thanks for the link. I thought I'd ask before cleaning in case someone else did it with unfavorable results. Thanks again.
