Help---LS1 making noise

Help---LS1 making noise I know it is normal for the LS1 to make noise on start-up, but what about after unning it for hours? Mind knocks most of the time. I have a 2002 Trans Am. It has knock since I bought it 3 months ago. Anybody know for sure?

Re: Help---LS1 making noise My '01 is pretty noisy too, but I've gotten used to it and it performs well. It's very noisy when cold and then quiets down when fully warmed up, but it never fully goes away. I stress tested it at last May's SSCC, so I have confidence that nothings really wrong. It's just kind of the nature of the beast as far as I can tell.

Re: Help---LS1 making noise Hey.. i work at a dealership.All the ls1 makes noise. ive seen mad people coming in to the shop saying the motor sounds like crap>If anything check the oil to make sure no metal in there
