Default What does the stock pcm control

Going to be running bs3 in the car and trying to figure out if i can dtich the whole stock computer and wiring harness the car will see some street time so i still want headlights,taillights,all lights to work and possibly radio. I ditched the ac,heat,cruise,abs,tcs,airbags will be going next

Gauges and fuel pump.

If you have an ato tranny, then also the shiftpoints, converter lockup, line pressure, etc.

Evap and purge.

so if i dont want to run stock gauges then i can just pull the pcm and all the wiring associated with it?

If you take care of the fuel pump feed.
And resolve the problem of not having the evap stuff working.

The bcm may get an ignition feed or two off the pcm, which may have to be substituted. My bcm is gone now off my 98, so it doesn't matter...
