Autotap or EFI Live 5 or Both

Autotap or EFI Live 5 or Both I need to get something to use for playing with my car during the week. On the weekend and most times I plan to race I have access to a Snap On Diagnostic tool and at times even a Tech II from the shop. I can't take them home during the week and really don't have access to them. This is going to be something I use when I play with the car but probably ocassionally when I race if I don't have access to the scan tool.
Should I get just the Autotap Enhanced or EFI Live 5 or should I just spend the money and get both. I hate to spend money on either considering I can use my dad's scan tools but I don't want to always be borrowing from him during the week when he needs them.

Re: Autotap or EFI Live 5 or Both I too would like to know if we need both. I currently have atap...but It is a downloaded version and it's not working like it is suppose to. Could be just a damaged cable.
My question is, since you can download atap from autotap will you be able to run EFILive from the same cable?

Re: Autotap or EFI Live 5 or Both If you get EFILive you need the AutoTap cable. If you have the AutoTap cable then you can download the AutoTap software and use it.
So, as I understand it, you have to buy the AutoTap cable to use EFILive and you are going to get the AutoTap software with that cable.
