difference between atap, efi live, and ls1edit

difference between atap, efi live, and ls1edit if im not mistaken, the atap diagnoses the codes/parameters, and efi live and ls1edit is programming. is there programming software with built in diagnostics, or should i just buy both?

Re: difference between atap, efi live, and ls1edit Autotap and EFILiveV5 are both data acquisition, and LS1EDIT is a programmer for the PCM, so you need to purchase ever one data acquisition and LS1EDIT to start tune you car.
EFILiveV5 comes with bi-directional control if you purchase the Pro version, this will control the PCM while plug into the OBDII port, once remove the PCM will revert back to stock values.
