Flashing SES
Flashing SES Whenever I do burnouts the car shifts into 2nd or even 3rd. This sucks for me since I have a V6 and I need it in 1st to really heat up drag radials. So I left the shifter in 1st one time. I got the RPM up and all of a sudden a flashing SES light came on. I haven't autotapped it, but it has to be missfires. I have new plugs/wires and coils are pretty new. After the run car was getting 5mph less in the 1/4. I reset the pcm and it was back to normal. Then it came back, not flashing, then it went off. It's still off, but I am curious as to what happened? Does this happen to anyone during burnouts? I'd like to prevent this from happening again. I'm not leaving my shifter in 1st that's for sure. BTW, it's not the plugs/wires/coils, already checked and I never got any hesitation or stumbling even when it was flashing. I will autotap soon to see what it was and I'll have autotap with me next time.
