Default LS1 Edit, changing Timing Advance?????

I know how to change the timing advance, but my question is, what have you added to your timing in percent (+2%, +5%) that worked well without causing Knock Retard.

I adde 2 degrees to the entire table, no KR yet. I'd still like to know what others have successfully or unsuccessfully done with timing.

I have not done in by percentages, but have added 3 degrees, without any problems as well as copied the high octane table to the low octane table so they are running the same.

I added 2 degrees across the board to the high octane table. I had no KR at WOT, but on the xway at 60mph and wanting to increase to 70mph with a slight push on the pass pedal (low load), I had detonation. I have not ATAPed this situation.

So I went back to the stock timing table, at WOT I have 28* timing according to ATAP with no KR.

Try reducing timing from .48 and up through the 400 to 1600 rpm range, rather than knocking your entire timing table back.

Good Luck,
Kevin

Has anyone done a change to the table doing 1 cell at a time??? When I look at it, it appears to be inconsistent in its change from cell to cell. If anyone has an example of doing the individual cells for timing, making a "smoother" transition of values, could you e-mail me a copy of the *.LS1 file that I can use as a guide.

THANKS!!!
