I searched around a bit, and didn't find the results I was looking for, so sorry if this has been asked.

Is it worth it to run HPP3 on my car? This program isn't VIN locked like ls1edit right, so I could use a friend's copy?

The reason I ask is that I'm getting 160 thermostat soon. I figure the car would run in open loop mode (or closed, whatever the warm up mode is called), and I have been told this too. The HPP3 would take care of that.

I plan on getting a copy of LS1edit in the future, but it is not needed now.

 

before you buy the hypercrap take a look at the preadator at www.runninwiththedevil.com

also the hypertech can only be used on one car at a time if your friend returns his to stock then you can use it but for him to use it again you would have to return yours to stock

Thanks guys, that's what I needed to know.

With Predator will I need Autotap or the likes? It looks like its worth the extra money over hyperjunk. If I go with this program, will I still need the thermostat, or could I just lower the temperature for the fan turn on?

 

in order to monitor or log files (record) you will need atap with the predator. also you will also need to buy the thermostat and set your fans for the following
low speed on at 180
off at 175

high speed on at 195
off at 181

you can monitor data with the diablo you cant log with it it depends on how much your car is modded on an almost stock car like mine FIPK Hooker catback I really dont see the need for a bunch of data logging correct me if I am wrong on this guys
