Requirements for O2 Heater and Catalyst Test Completion?
Is O2 Sensor Heater test Complete status a prerequisite for the Catalyst test?
I had custom programming that had the cat codes toggled off. Catalyst test showed incomplete. I purchased LS1-Edit and enabled P0137; P0138; P0140; P0141; P0157; P0158; P0160; P0161. I installed O2 simulators. Now it shows both O2 Sensor Heater and Catalyst tests Incomplete.
I have been through the OBDII drive cycle many times.
Can anyone shed some light on the magic combination that might make the tests pass? Should I try actual O2 sensors for Heater test and install simulators before the Catalyst test?
Surely someone has encountered this scenario before.

It needs to test heaters on a cold start & see how long it takes o2's to start working& their voltage. Then for a cat test the 98& up do the idle monitor test hot looks for an inactive o2 (compaired to the pre-cat o2's) It then passes catilist monitior. There are a ton of more stipulations but that it in a nutshell. Pre-cats o2's are normal but on cat idle monitor test it wants to see the post cat o2's voltage hang around .5 volt average & stay close to it like 350mv to 650mv It then assumes catalytic converters are fuctioning properly & passes them. Your idea sounds good to me , post back if it works, Have never tried to fool any of the diagnostic monitors. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
