Tuning after heads and cam
Tuning after heads and cam how important is it to get tuned after heads and cam are installed. should it been done right after install or ok to wait a couple of weeks.

Delete high idle code.
Increase idle (800-900) , depending on cam.
Delete random misfire code
Bump up base timing to 26-28 for idle stability.
Get A/F ratio adjusted (preferably on a WB dyno)
Get WOT timing set to 28-30 as much as the motor can handle with out KR and audible detonation.
Set shift points (if it's an A4)
Set cooling fans to 180/188 deg.
Line psi to read off/ TPS.
bump up rev limiter to 6800 (depends on cam also)
This should be a good start , but if the car will idle on it's own, I would put a couple hundred miles on it before having the tuning done. Good luck.
