hypertech on an auto?

hypertech on an auto? how much of a difference after i program with a hypertech for an auto? will i be able o compete with M6? i don;t want to get LS1 edit becuase i am not going to add much more mods to my car, i just want to be "alittle faster" only bolt ons,,, what type of differnce is shown with hypertech? i have read on what it has done about power, and i am not really intrested in that, i am more intrested in shifting and being able to compete with an M6

Re: hypertech on an auto? A stall convertor or high stall torque convertor goes inside the automatic transmission, sort of couples the motor to the trans/driveshaft. The better aftermarket ones will drop your ETs substantially (up to 7/10 in some cases <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> ).
As for the Hypertech, when used with a 160* thermostat and when used properly (setting the fans, shift points and NOT using the power tuning (doesn't help in most cases)) it WILL drop your ETs and possibly raise mph a tiny bit. LS1 Edit is still WAY better but this will suffice on a mildly modded car.
