Default Stuck in WOT?

Anyone have any ideas on why my 99 TA goes to WOT as soon as I start it up? I thought that an injector was stuck opened but this is not the case. What is the sensor that mounts on the back of the intake manufold? MAP sensor? Could a major N2O backfire damage this sensor? Please help! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

When you say WOT, are you talking about fuel cells, or does the RPM on the car run-away?

The rpm's go right to 6200 and would stay there if I didn't turn of the car.

It has to be air getting in then.

If this happened after an N2 backfire, then I would start looking for hoses that may have gotten blown off in the melee.

I would check

1) Brake booster hose
2) MAP Sensor. May have blown off reading 0 MAP which could be conscrewed as WOT by the PCM
3) Throttle Body.
4) EGR
5) Air Relief Hose to Throttle Body
6) PCV Hose to Throttle Body
7) Intake Seal. You may have cracked the intake or blown a seal out.

Good Luck,
Kevin
