I had the HPP 3 power program in my car and removed it. You can still use the other features such as lowering the fan setting, raising rev limiter, speedo correction for gear changes, and etc without using the power program. In the low RPM range (idle to 4,000 rpms) it made a big difference. You could really feel the effect of the increase in timing and leaning out of the motor. The problem was that once I got above 4,500 rpms I was getting some serious pinging and it felt like it wasn't pulling as hard. I think that was the result of the ping setting of the knock sensor and creating some serious knock retard in the timing. I tried switching to all different brands of gas including Sunoco 94 and nothing helped. The hot, humid summer months made matter worse. When I would go to the track if I filled up with Sunco GT Plus 100 the ping was gone. But at $3.79 a gallon I couldn't afford to run it all the time. So in the end I decided to remove it. Some people say the cars actual run faster with out the Power Program. Maybe it my imagination but now that the PP is out of my car it feels as though it pulls a lot harder on the top end.
