Default LS1Edit WOT Hot Table Q?

Current Camaro SS 2001 table I have.
RPMs
0 400 800 1200 1600 2000 2400 2800 3200 3600 4000 4400 4800 5200 5600 6000 6400 6800 7200
WOT Table Cold
%TPS
64 64 64 64 64 64 64 64 64 60 54 34 34 34 34 34 34 34 34

WOT Table Hot
%TPS
64 64 64 64 64 64 64 64 55 45 36 26 26 26 26 26 26 26 26

The HOT Table is set for when the engine coolant is above 142 degrees and WOT Cold for below that value. And that the %TPS the degree the throttle position has to be in before the car considers being in WOT.

Usually at the dyno they start at 3000 RPMs and hopefully the engine is above 142 degrees ( so it does not use the WOT Cold table) but also will not go into WOT until 3200 RPM and only if the TP is at 55%. Should this be dropped to around 26 for 3200, 3600, and 4000 so we hit make sure to enter into WOT and not just for the dyno. Theoretically we may not be entering into WOT until later in the runs.

The EFILive logging I did for several WOT runs shows the same behavior each time when both the RPM and %TPS match the frame desired.

AFR goes from 14.6 to 10.6 each time when the RPM and %TPS match the frame, I am assuming this is when the car is actually entering WOT. We miss going into WOT in the 3000-4000 range becuase we are just under the %TPS each time. My export shows that I barely missed going into WOT each time by 1.5%TPS.

exported data
Missed 1.5 %TPS
AFR %TPS ADV RPMs
14.6 43.5 30 3672
10.6 55.7 24.5 4884

Missed since there is no 3800 setting
14.6 61.2 24.5 3888
10.6 57.3 25 4961

missed 3500 since well below, did not goto WOT until almost 5000 rpms.
14.6 21.6 39 3580
14.6 27.8 36 4148
10.6 36.9 32 4997
10.4 41.2 33 5815

The question I have is that if I change the table for 3200, 3600 and 4000 RPM values from 55, 45, 36 to 26 each would this get the car into WOT mode faster. And is that a good thing to get to WOT mode faster?

Well if it helps, on my 98 M6 both the WOT cold and Hot have all the same values, both table are identical....

By lowering the TPS% for WOT, you may add too much timing and fuel at a smaller load value and create a kind've 'bogging' situation. But give it a try and see if it works out.

Both of my table are the same as your WOT Hot table.

I was going to do this either friday or saturday depending on when I can get over to LunaticTA's house(he has the cables <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> )

Did you change the WOT Cold table or did you change it to match the Hot Table?

I didn't change any of those tables, that is off of my stock flash of the PCM.

I went with the changes I was thinking about.

2800 = 55
3200 = 42
3600 = 36
4000 = 26

This made a HUGE difference in the RPM curve, and SOTP feel. I am going to drop this back just one more to to

2400 = 55
2800 = 42
3200 = 36
3600 = 32 or 26
4000 = 26

I compared them to before and after WOT runs and instead of the RPM going up, dipping down, and then up it now is a 45 degree angle then like a 75-85 degree angle once WOT is entered. It is a much better looking graph. With these new changes, I am hoping to get rid of the 45 degree angle and get to WOT and increase immediately.

BUT unfortunately if you saw in the internal engine forum, One of the TI seats on #2 cylinder intake valve shattered. So my baby is on the sidelines until I get the new seat.

Can you say "LUCKY" after doing WOT runs that I did not damage my engine. All the pieces fell to the oil pan and stuck to the drain plug.
