Default Editing cold start with big cam

I have heads/229 cam. Getting the car to start and idle/drive when it is cold is kicking my a$$ <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I've got the IAC between 40-50. I've raised the idle. Nothing is helping. I lowered the timing, that did take the surging out, but the car is REALLY rich and dies. I lower the VE table at the lower MAP settings...no help. Where else can I look to fix this???

Thanks
Scott

You can try raising the IAC table some so that it gives it more air, increase the cold idle speed, and adjust the lower MAF frequencies so that the computer thinks there is less air and adds less fuel.

It takes time to sort out. I thought I had it worked out on 232/236 cam and now that it has gotten really cold, the problem has come back.
