how to remove top speed limiter?
how do you do that? what do you need?
i've heard that Trans Ams and Camaros could go up to 170++ MPH without the top speed limiter.
I want to know how to do that just out of curiousity. Im not an insane driver out there. Thanks for your help.

Custom tuning, LS1-Edit, or Hypertech Power Programmer will do it. (Not sure if the Hypertech is out for 2002 yet).

Re: how to remove top speed limiter?
With LS1Edit its very easy.
Open LS1Edit, open your .ls1 file and goto the EDIT menu, click on Speedometer, click on the speed tab, in the limiters section, there is "speed limit" and the editable box to enter the desired speed limit. Currently mine sits at 160.
The guy that I do the tuning with had a really good reason not to change it.
If someone steals my car, they MIGHT just try and really screw up the engine. Not to mention be able to outrun any cop car attempting to catch my car. ( and yes I know radios are faster then cars )
